A growth percentile shows how your baby's measurements compare to other babies of the same age. For example, the 50th percentile means your baby is right in the middle — half of babies are bigger and half are smaller. Percentiles between the 5th and 95th are generally considered normal.
Not necessarily. The 50th percentile is the average, but healthy babies come in all sizes. What matters more is consistent growth along a percentile curve over time. If your baby has always been around the 25th percentile and continues growing steadily, that's usually perfectly healthy. Talk to your pediatrician if you have concerns.
This calculator uses simplified WHO growth standards to provide estimates. For the most accurate assessment, your pediatrician will use your baby's actual measurements plotted on standardized growth charts over multiple visits. Single measurements are less reliable than growth trends over time.
